Level of anti-corruption consciousness increased among Kazakhstanis
During 2017, the Agency, in cooperation with non-governmental organizations and other state bodies, carried out an active preventive work. At present, almost every Kazakhstani knows how to behave in case of corruption situations, as well as familiar with the main directions of country's anti-corruption policy.
A Comprehensive plan for the formation of an anti-corruption culture in the society was implemented.
The plan includes 15 projects and a number of calendar activities in 11 thematic areas that affect various areas of public life. The issues of anti-corruption education and upbringing are reflected in the projects "Okulyk", "Tarbiye", "Gylym".
About a million schoolchildren became active participants in the anti-corruption movement, joining the "Adal Urpak" honesty clubs, and only this year 23,770 events were held.
More than 3700 theatrical productions for children aimed at strengthening the principles of honesty, decency and incorruptibility have been organized. 339 competitions on anti-corruption themes were held.
In 121 universities of the country students will investigate pressing issues of combating corruption in the preparation of their theses. It is also planned to develop an interdepartmental program "Kazakhstan is a country free from corruption", designed for 2018-2020.
The media published 6425 articles on anti-corruption topics, 12544 publications were posted on the Internet. The anti-corruption video clips were broadcast on 28 TV channels, as well as 11 audio clips on the radio. Banners are installed in the Republic, posters with anti-corruption content are placed in public places.
"Preventive work has found support among the population. In accordance with the results of the sociological survey of the public association "Strategic Center "Social-Zertteu", more than 70% of respondents support the continuation of the information campaign to counteract corruption", the agency said.
In addition, the results of a study conducted last year by "PREKO Consulting", show an increase in anti-corruption consciousness. Almost 60% of the respondents expressed their readiness to actively participate in the fight against corruption.
