Chairman of Board of JSC "NC "Astana EXPO-2017" appointed

Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Timur Suleimenov, introduced a new Head to the team and outlined a number of directions of the activities of the company, the National Company reported.

"On behalf of  Head of State N.A. Nazarbayev, the national company "Astana EXPO-2017" will work further and fulfill a major responsible task. This year, the AIFC and the technopark of IT start-ups should begin their work as the most important elements of digital Kazakhstan", the Minister said.

Y. Shormanov since August 20, 2015 served as Deputy, then Acting Chairman of the Board of JSC "NC "Astana EXPO-2017".

He was born on August 20, 1968. He graduated from the Alma-Ata Institute of National Economy.

Yerbol Shormanov began his work biography from 1991 in the customs bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan, where he worked until 2005.

Prior to the national company he held the post of Deputy Mayor of Almaty city, supervised issues of housing and communal services, improvement, ecology, energy, industry, trade, small business, sanitary and epidemiological prosperity of the city, and also managed the office of the Mayor, the business and industry department of Almaty city.
