20 Kostanay agricultural enterprises selected for digitalization of AIC

"Kostanay region is defined as a pilot in the digitalization of the sphere of agroindustrial complex, as it is today an industrial-agrarian region. Here more than 27% of the production of the food industry is exported", M. Myrzaliyev explained.

The Deputy Governor recalled that the elements of digitalization need to be introduced not only in the sphere of agroindustrial complex, but also in others. He also recalled the experience of the Russian "Yandex", whose development, if necessary, can be implemented in Kostanay region. Such an agreement was reached during the visit of M. Myrzaliyev to the Russian Federation.
Each of the departments reported on the digitization process during the meeting.

Thus, in the government of agriculture reported that at present in 700 enterprises of the region elements of digitalization: satellite monitoring of the condition of crops, control of vehicles and agricultural machinery, fuel level sensors, agronavigators are partially introduced. In animal husbandry, this is the chipping of cattle.

"However, this is not enough. In this regard, selected 20 enterprises in 9 regions and cities of the region that have achieved good performance, have a financially stable position and are able to participate in the pilot project of digitalization of the agro-industrial complex", the Department reported.

The Ministry also plans to attract representatives of universities, research institutes of the region, as well as representatives of the regional Chamber of Entrepreneurs to this work.

In addition, a meeting was held with the supplier of equipment that is ready to cooperate with enterprises and offer their solutions for further work in this direction.

It should be noted that the city-forming enterprises of the region are also involved in the digitalization process. Thus, certain work is carried out by large city-forming enterprises of the region - JSC "SSGPO", JSC "Varvarinskoye", JSC "Kostanay minerals".

For example, JSC "SSGPO" introduces technology "smart" quarry at the Kacharsk field. For all three enterprises, Roadmaps on the introduction of digitalization technologies have been developed.

In the summer of 2017, an agreement was reached between the Governor's Office of Kostanay region and the Asian Development Bank for the amount of 150 million tenge, within which a database on the digitization of SMEs will be developed.

Representatives of the relevant Ministries of education and healthcare also announced plans for digitalization. For example, the Health Department implements the process of digitalization in three blocks - the provision of computer equipment, the introduction of a medical information system and access to the Internet.

The first two blocks are implemented quite successfully, there are only problems with access to the Internet in remote settlements of the region, which is also planned to be solved in the next two to three years.

"The state program "Digital Kazakhstan" was adopted in the middle of December 2017, but Kostanay region has already started to implement it. There are also problem areas, but there are some successes", was noted during the meeting.

Deputy Governor of the region Meirzhan Myrzaliyev instructed each of the Ministries to work out the process of introduction of digitalization in each of the sectors and prepare their proposals on this issue.
