Deputies of Senate got acquainted with development of Mangistau rgn
Governor of the region Yeraly Tugzhanov received today Deputies Mikhail Bortnik, Baktybay Chelpekov, Dulat Kustavletov, the regional Governor's Office informed.
During the meeting, the Governor of the region informed the Deputies about the results of the social and economic development of the region for 2017.
"The production volume was fulfilled in 2017 by 100%. The volume of investments increased from 82.2% to 104% in comparison with the previous year. All the previously planned social and economic projects were implemented. There are big projects that can be continued further. One of them is the project "Nur Capital". This unique project, which gives businessmen a loan of 1%, received the support of President Nursultan Nazarbayev. Also in 2017 in the port of Kuryk we provided transshipment of over 1 million 200 thousand tons of cargo. A new automobile ferry complex has been launched - this is an additional 2 million tons of cargo annually", Yehraly Tugzhanov said.
Also, the Governor of the region told the Senate Deputies about the beginning of the reconstruction of the "Ata Zhol" road with the aim of developing domestic tourism. Yeraly Tugzhanov noted that this reconstruction work is only one of many projects where the Governor's Office of Mangistau region cooperates with the Ministry for Investments and Development with the support of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
When asked by Deputies about the remediation of the tailing dump Koshkar Ata, Yeraly Tugzhanov replied that for these purposes more than 17 billion tenge was allocated from the republican budget. Now, in order to stabilize the liquid phase, 7.7 million cubic meters of the purified water from KOS-1 are discharged into the tailing dump.
The Governor also noted that in order to stabilize the micro-climate, ecological and sanitary and hygienic conditions of Baskuduk village, the creation of a green zone with a total area of 8.2 ha. has begun. It is also planned to create a green protective belt with a lengh of 5 km.
