Ways to apply law on modernization of criminal process discussed in Astana
The meeting was attended by Deputies of the Prosecutor General, employees of the central office, as well as prosecutors of the regions in the video conferencing mode, the Ministry informed.
The Prosecutor General noted that the Ministry took organizational measures to prevent violations of the provisions of the law. In particular, a meeting was held with the participation of the heads of all law enforcement bodies, an instruction was sent to the regional prosecutors on the application of the law and the training of personnel, and methodological recommendations were prepared.
Having heard the reports of regional prosecutors on topical issues of work in the new legal conditions, Kairat Kozhamzharov drew attention to the inadmissibility of violating the constitutional rights of citizens, including in the area of criminal prosecution, where this issue is particularly sensitive, since it relates to the restriction of personal freedom of a person, detentions or arrests.
"The prosecutor is the guarantor of compliance with the law and the degree of protection of citizens depends on the timeliness of your response on-the-spot", the Prosecutor General said referring to regional prosecutors.
