About 9k paid parking places to be equipped in Astana
On the metro boulevard "Nurzhol" 472 parking spaces were equipped, road markings were made, parking lots and information boards were installed. According to the speaker, more than 9,000 parking spaces will be created in the Yessil, Saryarka and Almaty areas during this year.
"The president set a concrete task for us: to adopt a plan of measures to organize a system of paid parkings, the introduction of electronic payment for travel in public transport with the indication of specific dates", Bekmyrza Igenberdinov said.
Now Astana motorists are offered a wide range of alternative payment options for a parking place: cash or a bank card through a parking lot, via SMS, through a personal cabinet, "Cash desk 24" terminals and using a special mobile application.
"I would like to underline that on weekend, as well as on holidays parkings lots are free", the speaker said.
We note, the cost of one hour parking from 8 am to 8 pm is 100 tenge. International experience was also taken into account. Thus, for a long time similar parking spaces have been functioning in such large capitals of the world as London, Berlin, Washington and others.
Also, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, invalids of the first and second groups in specially allocated places, those awarded with the "Altyn Kyran" and "Halyk-Alka" orders, mothers with many children who were awarded with the "Altyn Alka" and "Kumis Alka" pendants, those suffered from the tests at the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site, as well as veterans and invalids in Afghanistan and local hostilities are entitled to free use of parking services.
