Y.Karin: Activation of Central Asian cooperation expected
According to the speaker, rethinking their own positions within the framework of international and regional processes for the countries of Central Asia is fundamental this year.
"In 2018, cooperation in the region will develop in the format of bilateral or tripartite interactions. For example, "Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan", "Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan", "Kazakhstan-Kyrgyzstan", "Uzbekistan-Tajikistan", "Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan", Yerlan Karin said.
As he noted, the continuation of the foreign policy course of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev can be considered as one of the fundamental factors of rapprochement of countries in the region.
"Given the active actions of Astana and Tashkent, as well as with the support of Ashgabat, there is a chance that for the first time since 2005 the leaders of all the Central Asian countries will come together", the speaker concluded.
We note, today the Kazakhstan Council on International Relations represented by Yerlan Karin presented an overview of the ten most important events in 2018, which are of key importance for political and economic stability in the region. Among them, the intensification of cooperation among the Central Asian countries is one of the key positions.
