Central Asian countries to intensify work on digitalization in 2018

"In December 2017, we adopted the state program "Digital Kazakhstan". This means that today the stage of its active implementation starts", the speaker said.
Thus, the implementation of the program is aimed at improving the efficiency of a number of sectors of the economy: energy, agro-industrial complex, industry, information technology and logistics.
"The development of electronic and mobile government and the development of the digital industry is important", Yerlan Karin said.
According to him, in Kyrgyzstan it is also planned to implement the active phase of the "Taza Coom" project aimed at the introduction of information technologies. Uzbekistan has already signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with "SAP CIS" and plans to launch a regional Digital NASA project to create a cross-border telecommunications network.
"It must connect the countries of Central and South Asia into a single digital hub. Within the framework of the EAEU, the process of forming the digital agenda of the Union until 2025 is also underway", the Chairman of the Kazakhstan Council on International Relations concluded.
We note that, among dozens of important events of the Central Asian region in 2018, Yerlan Karin also outlined Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the UN, the SCO Summit, the actualization of water issues in the region, the issues of the "Afghan sector", electoral processes and the activation of Central Asian cooperation.
