Senators met with representatives of court, procurator's office, NSC in Pavlodar rgn
The Senators visited the regional court, the prosecutor's office, the department of the NSC, the department of internal affairs, the military unit of the border guard service, the Senate press-service reported.
The main topic of the talks was the results of the legislative activity of the Upper Chamber of parliament last year. M. Kubenov and N. Nursipatov talked about the constitutional reform, during which a number of presidential powers were transferred to the legislative and executive branches of power. Amendments to the Basic Law also affect the protection of human rights, the constitutional bases for the activities of the judiciary and the prosecutor's office are being adjusted.
The Senators informed the participants of the meetings about amendments introduced in a number of legal acts aimed at humanizing administrative and criminal legislation.
M. Kubenov and N. Nursipatov answered the questions of the participants of the meetings, and also discussed the prospects for improving the work to ensure the rule of law in Irtysh region.
