In Aktobe region, a 5-year strategy for the further development of the medical center has been developed. The draft document was presented during a meeting chaired by Governor of the region Berdybek Saparbayev, the Governor's Office of the region reported.
"It is planned to increase the share of high-tech medical services, the development of internal medical tourism, further modernization of the infrastructure component of cluster-forming subjects and international accreditation of the Aktobe medical center," Head of the regional health department Asset Kaliyev said.
The Governor of the region emphasized the special importance of creating a highly professional team of specialists in the field of medicine, which is also envisaged by the Strategic Program for the development of the medical cluster. The Governor of the region instructed the administration of the West Kazakhstan State Medical University named after M.Ospanov to take an active part in the implementation of this task.
"The main indicator of the effectiveness of the medical cluster will be the improvement of the health indicators of the population of the region and the development of medical tourism. To achieve these goals teamwork is required as well as interaction of all subjects of the medical sphere", Saparbayev said.
As it is known, a little more than one year has passed since the establishment of the State Enterprise "The Aktobe Medical Center" on the basis of which the medical cluster is being formed. According to Asset Kaliev, implementation of the cluster policy allowed medical organizations to improve the quality of services and its effectiveness. First of all, the increase in labor productivity, the improvement of the quality of diagnostics and treatment, the expansion of the range of high-tech medical services, the introduction of international standards in the organization of inpatient medical care are provided.
An important element in ensuring the effectiveness of the medical cluster was the participation of foreign partners in its activities on the basis of PPP, which is one of the key tools for forming a cluster in the healthcare sector.
