N.Nigmatulin discussed changes in healthcare sphere with Akmola doctors
The Chairman of the Chamber visited the "Avicenna" medical and preventive institution, where he got acquainted with his work and talked with medical workers.
N. Nigmatulin told the doctors about the legislative amendments on health issues, according to which the list of persons for which the state pays contributions to obligatory social health insurance (OSHI), reduction of contributions to the Social Health Insurance Fund from employers is envisaged.
Speaking about cardinal changes in the healthcare system since Kazakhstan gained independence, the Speaker of the Mazhilis stressed that due to Nursultan Nazarbayev's well-adjusted and far-sighted policy, conditions for sustainable development of the healthcare system and the social support system as a whole were created in the country.
"We were able to achieve an improvement in the most important indicator - the increase in the number and life expectancy of the population. Birthrate has grown 1.5 times, and life expectancy in the country has reached 72.5 years. The number of Kazakhstanis since 1993 has grown by more than 4.5 million and has exceeded 18 million people. This is also your merit - it is thanks to the dedicated work of doctors, with every year the quality of medical services for the population improves, the health of the nation is strengthened", Nurlan Nigmatulin said.
At the end of the meeting, the Speaker of the Mazhilis answered questions of medical workers of Akmola region, who were interested in issues of providing regions with medicines, safety of pension savings, protection of children from negative information,
Earlier, Nurlan Nigmatulin met with labor collectives of the largest enterprises of the region - "Kazakhstan Agro Innovation Corporation" and "Kokshetauminwody".
