About 200 railway wagons "Tulpar-Talgo" of new modification being operated in Kazakhstan

The enterprise, built according to the state program of industrial and innovative development, ensures the renewal of the fleet of passenger wagons of JSC "NC "KTZ", the press-service of the national company reported.

In 2016, Kazakhstani manufacturers began to develop the production of new passenger wagons. These wagons have a body width of 3.2 meters, which increases the interior space of the coupe and passage, the cabin in the dining car and the cafeteria wagon. In 2017, the wagons "Tulpar-Talgo" were certified for compliance with the EAC technical regulations.

"We closed one contract, according to which we issued 436 wagons - from 2012 to 2015. Since 2016, we have a new contract, according to which we plan to produce 603 wagons with a wide body up to 2023. To date, 178 of them have already been produced", Production Director of "Tulpar-Talgo" LLP Vladimir Kiselev said.

Currently, all major cities of Kazakhstan are connected by a network of high-speed passenger routes, along which modern passenger carriages of the "Tulpar-Talgo" plant run.

"The use of modern technologies in the production of wagons of the "Talgo" class allows reaching speeds of up to 200 km/h, which reduces the time for the train to almost double. This contributes to the successful implementation of the program for the development of high-speed passenger traffic in Kazakhstan", Kiselev said.

We note, the enterprise "Talpar-Talgo" is one of the leaders of railway engineering in Kazakhstan. It employs more than 200 people, and with full production capacity it is planned to increase the number of jobs to 360. Specialists are trained at the plants of the Spanish company "Patentes Talgo S.L".

According to the agreements between JSC "NC" KTZ" and the company "Patentes Talgo S.L." there is a phased transfer of technologies.
