Preparations for cultural capital's year of CIS countries began in Shymkent
The Governor of the region stressed that getting the status of the cultural capital of the CIS countries is a great honor, but also a responsibility. In this regard, the Governor of the region instructed to begin with the preparation for holding this event at the highest level, the Governor's Office of South Kazakhstan region informed.
"First of all, it is necessary to approve the plan of measures for the development of the city and to carry out systematic work according to the plan. In addition, in order to garden the territory of the city, we need to develop a special map. Works on streamline the facades of multi-storey buildings should be carried out according to the plan. At the same time, to ensure a comfortable pastime for guests and residents of the city, I entrust the construction of squares and Arbat. Also, we should not stop the ongoing works on the territory of the "old city", Tuimebayev said.
Thus, in the next three years the city will only thrive. For example, in the center of the city there will be its Arbat and the project "Shymkent City" will be realized, which will allow to develop the city in a new direction. Moreover, in Shymkent, an open-air museum will be located on the territory of the old city, and grafted seedlings within the framework of the "Shatkal" program will form a green belt by 2020 and become parks. In addition, in the near future the territory of the green zone of the city is planned to bring up to 18 thousand hectares, as well as highlight all the buildings in the city, thereby improving the architectural and artistic lighting of Shymkent.
Along with this, the Governor of the region instructed not to disregard the improvement of new areas included in the territory of the city.
