Social benefits of KTZ workers to increase by 16% in 2018
As noted in the company, from January 1, 2018, the collective agreement for 2018-2020 between JSC "NC "KTZ - Freight Transportation" and the labor collective, signed in December 2017 by the Heads of the company and the trade union, came into force.
Thus, in 2018 the social benefits budget provides for more than 4.5 billion tenge, which is 16% more than in 2017.
The agreement provides for social guarantees for the protection of labor rights, payment, labor protection, health improvement and recreation of employees.
According to Vice-President of JSC "KTZ-Freight Transportation" Ivan Kostyrya, KTZ has taken a set of measures to create safe and harmless working conditions, medical and preventive and sanitary services for railway workers.
"In 2018, according to labor legislation, an amount of 1% of the wage fund in all branches of our company is planned to be used to improve the quality of production conditions. The work of the railroad worker is associated with unfavorable factors. This is both physical and psycho-emotional overload, and the traveling nature of the work, and noise, vibration, prolonged stay in the open air", Ivan Kostyrya said.
He noted that the company pays special attention to medical care.
As a result of the implementation of the production program for the improvement of employees in 2017, there was a decrease in industrial injuries in such a factor as a sudden deterioration in health, by 50%.
"The company fully provided people with overalls, special footwear, personal protective equipment. Based on the results of attestation of more than 2,000 workplaces, a corresponding surcharge for harmful working conditions is made. In 2017, the recreation centers of locomotive crews at the stations Astana, Sayak, Kyzylorda, Shu, Zashita, Mangistau were overhauled. In other rest houses, where the drivers and their assistants restore their strength after the flight and are preparing for a new shift, the current and cosmetic repairs are carried out", JSC "KTZ" informed.
