Minister about visa-free regime with UAE: It will be great news for Kazakhstan tourists
"The issue related to the visa regime implies, on the one hand, the facilitation of the visa regime and at the same time it is necessary to improve the effectiveness of migration control and security issues, including national ones. From the available statistics, to date Kazakhstan has agreements on exemption from visas for holders of diplomatic passports with 66 countries and international organizations", Kairat Abdrakhmanov said.
As he added, for holders of service passports there are agreements with 44 States.
In the current year, agreements on visa-free travel have been concluded with the United Arab Emirates for all types of passports.
"Taking into account the fact that during the holiday season, we are constantly asked about when the Emirates will finally open borders and ratify the agreement. We have done our part of the work, we have ratified the agreement. It is expected that soon all emirates that are part of the UAE, too, will ratify themselves and at their level will inform us. This will be a great news for all Kazakhstani tourists", the Minister stressed.
According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, such an agreement is concluded with Thailand.
"This year, we are also working to sign an agreement on the same types of passports with Israel, Macau, Thailand", the Kazakh Foreign Minister added.
Also, the Minister said that just a few days ago a visa center of Kazakhstan was opened in Beijing.
We note that from January 1, 2017, a visa-free regime has been introduced for all OECD countries, as well as Malaysia, the Emirates and Singapore.
