Y.Babakumarov: Book "The Era of Independence" reflects view of creator of Kazakhstan's history on its future
The presentation of such a valuable historical document was timed to the Independence Day of Kazakhstan. "This book is dedicated to my people, who always supported me. The people who confidently go to the future with their own Kazakhstani path!", the President wrote in the epigraph.
"In my opinion, this book includes the view of our President Nursultan Nazarbayev on the history of the country and its future. An impressive analysis of the events that have taken place over all these years is given. These are not only facts, they are interpretations, accents, own vision of our President. I think that their value for all of us is obvious, because they are given by the person who was not only a participant, but also a creator of the history of our State. Therefore, the book is an important document of the era, which will always be in demand to know what happened in those years", Yerzhan Babakumarov expressed his opinion.
As he informed, the book will mention the period of the construction of a sovereign State, which went in parallel with the process of global changes in the whole of civilization. The Head of State gave in his work his vision of country's history as three consecutive waves of modernization.
The book tells of the early 90's, when the triple transit in the economy, politics, social sphere was carried out. Kazakhstan dismantled a totalitarian system, built a market economy. The second modernization was carried out in 2010.
"The economy developed rapidly, we achieved a new quality of life, built a middle class, built a new capital, and most importantly, we ahead of schedule fulfilled the strategy of "Kazakhstan-2030" and entered the list of 50 competitive countries in the world. A new global reality has started to form, and in response to these global challenges and threats, an anti-crisis plan for large-scale infrastructure works of "Nurly zhol" was adopted, and five institutional reforms to strengthen the State in this most difficult period were announced. In just three years, the country has adapted to the new global reality, restoring economic growth by the end of 2016. In early 2017, the President announces the course of the Third Modernization of Kazakhstan, aimed at promoting the goals of the "Kazakhstan-2050" Strategy for entering the TOP-30 best countries in the newest conditions", Yerzhan Babakumarov said.
He noted that President Nazarbayev's three modernizations together constitute the integral process of Kazakhstan's construction. The expert believes that the President shows the internal logic of the decisions made on specific examples.
"The examples relating to the matters of religion, national culture, language, the future of the nation, the most complex issues of international relations. The details of the settlement of the Russian-Turkish conflict, the situation around Syria and so on are revealed. For me, it is also important that "The Era of Independence" is a book not only about the past years. It is aimed at the future and gives the principles by which our country can go further. The book contains invaluable experience of practical state governance of strategic planning, and in this respect it is a kind of national platform for optimism and confidence in the future", he concluded.
According to the speaker, "The Era of Independence" is a book not only about the past years, it is aimed at the future: it gives principles on which the country can move further.
