"Digital Kazakhstan" being discussed at conference in Astana
"As you know, the Head of State instructed to finalize the state program "Digital Kazakhstan", taking into account the economic effect of the implementation of the programs. In this regard, the Ministry together with the holding and experts conducted an analysis designed for the economic effect of each project", said A. Musayeva.
To date, the State Program covers 5 directions, more than 125 events and 17 initiatives.
"The first direction is digitalization of the economy. It implies the transformation of traditional industries taking into account digital technologies. The second is the transition to a digital State. This is the direction of transformation of State's function as an infrastructure for providing services to the population and business", the Head of the Department noted.
The next direction is the implementation of the digital Silk Road, which provides a high-speed protected infrastructure, transmission, storage, processing of data.
"The fourth direction is the development of human capital, that is, the creation of some kind of creative society to ensure the transition to new realities. And the fifth is the creation of an innovative ecosystem. This direction is intended to create conditions for technological entrepreneurship and innovation with sustainable links between business, science and the State. At the same time, the State will act as a catalyst for the ecosystem, capable of introducing new innovations in production", she said.
The implementation of the state program provides for funds both from the national budget, local budget, international financial resources, quasi-public sector, and private investments.
"The approximate volume is 145 billion tenge, while the return will have a cumulative effect - it is about 1.7-2 trillion tenge", Arailym Musayeva said.
During the conference, the issues of digital transformation of the economy of Kazakhstan are being discussed: ways of transforming the strategy in the fields of agriculture, industry, mining, automation of country's transport and logistics system, development of electronic commerce, improving the healthcare, information and communication industry of the country, and creating smart cities.
