"The mining and metallurgical complex is one of the competitive and dynamically developing sectors of Kazakhstan's economy. In this industry, about 100 large and medium-sized enterprises operate. These enterprises create a significant volume of orders for potential suppliers of other industries, such as machine building, chemical and light industry, production of building materials. Thus, for example, subsoil users of the mining complex and backbone enterprises from domestic producers purchased goods, works and services totaling 995.7 billion tenge, which is 43.5% of the total purchase. In other words, there is still considerable potential for domestic producers in the domestic market and opportunities for increasing production volumes", First Vice-Minister for Investments and Development of Kazakhstan Alik Aidarbayev said.
At the end of the plenary session, the top management of five companies-organizers - "Kazakhmys Holding" LLP, Eurasian Resources Group, "KazZinc" LLP, KAZ Minerals Group and JSC "MMC "Kazakhaltyn" - signed a memorandum of mutual cooperation for the development of local content. Local suppliers have the opportunity to directly meet with partners and on absolutely free basis: to conduct negotiations, present products and find customers. The organized exhibition demonstrates the potential of Kazakhstan's commodity producers, new production facilities and an increase in the range of manufactured goods.
