In 2019 medical organizations to head over to paperless format of work

Until the end of 2018, all medical organizations are expected to be covered by information systems. Thus, from January 1, 2019, they will head over to a paperless format for the management of medical records. This was said by Vice Minister of Healthcare of Kazakhstan Aleksey Tsoy during a press conference in the Government.

"From January 1, 2019, the medical organizations will head over to a paperless format for the management of medical records, including electronic outpatient cards, electronic medical records and electronic prescriptions (100%)", A. Tsoy said.

The Vice Minister also said that in 2018 it will be possible for the population to receive sheets on temporary disability and status/non-state certificates on the account in the anti-TB, psycho-neurological and narcological organizations via the e-government portal.

In addition, it is planned to make proposals on introducing amendments to the Code on Health of the People and the Healthcare System on digitalization issues.

He also noted that it is planned to study the issues of introduction of the electronic services site in the "Second Opinion" and the transfer of genomic sequencing technology to Kazakhstan.
