Investors to build two solar power stations in S.Kazakhstan
As the regional Governor's Office informed, having familiarized with the project of foreign entrepreneurs at the meeting, the Governor of the region told about the economic potential of the region and about the advantages offered to investors by the State.
"For a region with a population of about three million, this project is very desirable and effective. 65% of the electricity are received from outside. The need of the residents of the region in summer is 350-370 MW, and in winter 450-480 MW. That is why we need to implement such projects. The climate of our region is ideal for generating solar power", Zh. Tuimebayev said.
In turn, foreign entrepreneurs noted that they intend to build two solar power plants and an asphalt plant in the Maktaaral district. In addition, they stressed that favorable conditions have been created by the local authorities to draft relevant documents.
According to Murat Davrasov, General Director of "KADI" LLP, the German company "NwComp Solar GmbH", which implemented a number of projects in Kazakhstan, will invest 7 million euros in the construction of a solar power plant.
It should be noted that a 4.8 MW power plant will be built on the territory of the Zhetysay polygon. To date, permits have been developed, construction work is scheduled to start in November this year.
The investor of the second project was the Dutch company "VTK Invests". For today, within the framework of this project, a bilateral memorandum on the construction of a solar power station with a capacity of 100 MW has been signed, appropriate work is underway to allocate 300 hectares of land. The cost of the project is 150 million euros. Currently, the company is implementing the same project in Akmola region.
