Growth of mutual trade between EAEU countries comprises 27-28%
The Minister of the EEC noted that during this period, especially high economic indicators are noted in the recently joined countries - Armenia and Kyrgyzstan.
"The Presidents of all the countries of the EAEU said that now there is a tendency of recovery of economies of national states. We this year have the steady growth of mutual trade almost by 27-28%, in some countries this indicator is higher. Also, the trend of increasing the share of mutual trade continues to exist. And we, accordingly, see that the Union has created favorable conditions for the development of integration. At the same time, the Heads of state actively discussed the need to develop further integration, to accelerate the work on removing existing barriers and eliminating restrictions", Tatiana Valovaya said.
Listing the achievements of the EAEU in 2017, a member of the EEC Collegium highlighted the output of the economies of the EAEU countries on the trajectory of growth and maintenance of macroeconomic stability.
"We have created a very good macroeconomic backlog for healthy economic growth. This year has earned a single market of medicines, all the necessary decisions have been taken, the process is launched. We expect great results. In addition, this year, the Customs Code is almost ready for entry into force. These are two important system documents", the Minister of the EEC said.
It is worth noting the great work of the EEC, together with the Governments and business communities of Armenia and Kyrgyzstan, on the preparation of reports on the first two years of participation of these states in the Union. The report is planned to be submitted to the next meeting of the SEEC. The first assessments show how great the economic advantages received by Armenia and Kyrgyzstan from joining the EAEU, as well as their contribution to the Union.
Today, there is a stabilization of investment attraction. For example, according to statistical data, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan have significant growth dynamics of investments from third countries in their economies.
Speaking about the results of the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Sochi, we note that the Presidents of the EAEU countries adopted the Guidelines for the implementation of the digital agenda of the Union until 2025.
We note that President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev at a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council proposed in 2018 to hold a digital forum to discuss both the national digital agendas and the general digital agenda of the EAEU.
