“Garden of Friendship Kazakhstan-Korea” opened in Capital

The park "Garden of Friendship Kazakhstan-Korea " is a recreational zone that borders the "Aray" park, where you can feel the atmosphere of the national color of Korea owing to the structure of the architectural space.

As the Mayor’s Office of the capital reported, the main attribute of the park is the "A bell tower of Friendship". In Korea, the beginning and end of a year are accompanied by the sound of bells. The new park zone will become a symbol of friendship between the peoples of Kazakhstan and Korea.

The project "The Garden of Friendship Kazakhstan-Korea" is a project of cooperation coordinated with President Nursultan Nazarbayev during the visit of the President of the Republic of Korea to Kazakhstan in 2014. The Korean Government invested 1.7 million dollars to construct the park.

The architectural structure symbolizes the friendship between the two countries. Visitors of the park will be able to see a mirror pond, a flower garden, the traditional architecture of the Korean people, as well as a forestry garden in which the Korean forest is symbolically displayed.

The new attraction of the capital is located at the address the park "Aray", the intersection of Aray Street and Zhaukazyn Street (area of the Chubary mosque).

At the end of the opening ceremony of the garden, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Kim Dae-sik read the poem of his own work on a new symbol of friendship between the two peoples. The honored guests planted the national flower of Korea - hibiscus - on the territory of the garden.

Mayor of Astana Asset Issekeshev, Vice Minister of agriculture Yerlan Nysanbayev, ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Kazakhstan Kim Dae-sik, Deputies of the Parliament of the RK, members of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, representatives of state bodies, ethno-cultural associations, youth NGOs and others took part in the opening ceremony.
