In order to prevent floods at the Syrdarya River in winter spring period, a special group has surveyed the riverbed, the press service of the Kyzylorda region Governor’s Office informed.

The special working group has revealed 21 disrepair facilities.  Among them 18 dams,  2 bridges and 1 hydraulic work.

Thus, a construction and stabilization of a number of dams is needed. In particular, it is necessary to build a damn between Abai ans Birlik settlements  18 thousand  meters long.
