Specialists of Kazakhstan to visit defense and space plants of Belarus

The Delegation of the Republic of Belarus heading by Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of sciences Vladimir Gusakov has visited the National space center in Astana, where they have met with Minister of defense and aerospace industry of the RK Beibut Atamkulov.

It was announced in the Ministry, that the perspectives of cooperation in the space sphere were discussed during the meeting.

Minister of defense and aerospace industry of Kazakhstan B. Atamkulov informed his counterpart about the development of space activity in Kazakhstan. In particular, foreign guests were familiarized with the work of the space system of the communication “KazSat” and the remote sounding of the Earth “KazEOSat”.

The representatives of Belarus have also visited the building area of the future Defense and test complex of space equipment, where the production of satellites of different purposes from 100 kilograms to 6 tons and production of component parts to them are planned.

Minister B. Atamkulov has invited the plants and organizations of Belarus to realize joint space projects.

In the end of the meeting, the Belarusian side has invited Kazakh specialist to visit the defense and space plants of the Republic of Belarus.

As was informed earlier, according to the results of the meeting of the Prime-Minister of the RK and the Head of the representation of Belarus, Minister of defense and aerospace industry of the RK Beibut Atamkulov and Chairman of the Presidium of the National academy of sciences of Belarus Vladimir Gusakov have signed the Agreement between the Government of Kazakhstan and the Governemnt of Belarus on cooperation in the sphere of research and use of outer space for peaceful purposes.
