Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev noted that the active participation of small and medium-sized businesses will give a great impetus to the development of bilateral cooperation.

"It is gratifying that more than 60 companies take part in it. Although the exact number of companies that are present from the Belarus side is 70, and from our side - about 200. This shows the great interest in developing business ties between our countries. The active participation of representatives of small and medium-sized businesses of our countries is especially impressive. We have seen it ourselves during the tour of the exhibition", the Prime Minister said.

Nowadays in Kazakhstan there are about 250 joint ventures with the participation of the Belarusian business. At the same time, Bakytzhan Sagintayev said that Kazakhstan is glad to accept new projects from the Belarusian side.

"At the same time, I believe that the "MadeinBelarus" exhibition will give an additional impetus to the further expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation between our countries and will contribute to the emergence of new joint projects. We will welcome them. Having looked at the goods of technical production, I’d like to note their high quality. In general, I see the great potential for further development of our trade and economic cooperation in three main areas: increasing trade, investment cooperation, development of transport and logistics infrastructure. We are ready to develop each of them. The Government of Kazakhstan is actively working to improve the investment climate", he said.

The Prime Minister stressed that the number of documents for doing business is reduced, procedures for obtaining them are simplified.

"We have specially created the national investment company "KazakhInvest" with a network of international representatives and regional branches. "KazakhInvest" acts as a single negotiator on behalf of the Government", the head of the Government added.

In addition, the Prime Minister noted the work of investors in the framework of the new international financial center.

"The "Astana" International Financial Center will start operating in the country from 2018. It will embody the best models of financial centers of London, Singapore, New York, Dubai on the principles and norms of the English law. Simplified tax, visa and labor regimes will operate for participants of the financial center", B. Sagintayev said.

We note that the main subject of discussions during the meetings was the presentation of the investment potential and economic achievements of modern Kazakhstan to a wide range of Belarusian statesmen and entrepreneurs, identifying the most attractive and promising areas of bilateral interaction.

It should be noted that some of the imports within the EAEU accounted for Belarus (36.6%) and the Russian Federation (34.1%).

Kazakhstan, on the other hand, purchases 23% of the total volume of offered goods in the market of the Union, Kyrgyzstan - 3.7%, Armenia - 2.6%.

The main articles of mutual international trade between Kazakhstan and Belarus are tractors, truck tractors, machines and mechanisms for harvesting and threshing crops, tires, dairy products, furniture, medicines, particle boards, wires, etc.
