Ambassador of Kazakhstan presented credentials to Turkish President

In Ankara, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Turkey Abzal Saparbekuly presented credentials to President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan reported.

The Turkish President received A. Saparbekuly in the format of a bilateral meeting after the solemn ceremony of presenting credentials.

During the meeting, the Kazakh diplomat conveyed the best wishes of Nursultan Nazarbayev to R.T. Erdogan and also congratulated on the successful holding of the referendum on April 16, 2017. A. Saparbekuly spoke about the social and economic situation in Kazakhstan and large-scale international initiatives of the country. A. Saparbekuly expressed his hope for the participation of R.T. Erdogan in the first summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation on Science and Technology, which will be held on September 10-11, 2017 in Astana and spoke about the planned measures to strengthen and develop bilateral relations.

The Head of the Turkish Republic stressed the need to increase the volume of trade turnover between the countries and also pointed out the importance of work on investment and infrastructure projects of the bilateral cooperation agenda.

The President of Turkey, highly appreciating the contribution of Kazakhstan in the framework of the "Astana Process" aimed at resolving the situation in Syria, stressed that Kazakhstan's membership in the UN Security Council in 2017-2018 is significant for the entire Turkic world.
