N Kazakhstan: Resource-saving technologies to be applied in sowing

Resource-saving technologies with zero and minimal tillage will be applied in North Kazakhstan region during a sowing season, first deputy Governor of the region Aidarbek Saparov said during the conference call.

"As part of the implementation of the instructions of the Head of State for the diversification of crops, this year the entire crop area will be 4,377,500 hectares. In order to increase the economic efficiency of agriculture, agricultural producers of the region in the cultivation of crops, in addition to traditional crops, use resource-saving technologies with zero and minimal tillage. According to the district departments of agriculture, the cultivation of crops by traditional technology accounted for 47%, at a minimum 42%, at zero 11%. For the harvest of 2018, it is planned to process the fumes on an area of ​​528.1 thousand hectares, fallow 1.3 million hectares", the first deputy Governor said.
