Majilis Deputies discussed issues of cooperation development with Vietnamese delegation

Vice-Speaker of the Chamber Gulmira Issimbayeva met with a delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam headed by Chairman of the Commission on Foreign Relations of the Central Committee Hoang Binh Quan in the Majilis, the Chamber informed.

Having congratulated the members of the delegation on the forthcoming holiday - Vietnam Reunification Day, the Deputy Chairman of the Majilis wished the Vietnamese people new successes and prosperity.

According to G. Issimbayeva, Kazakhstan regards Vietnam as an important partner in South-East Asia.

As the Deputy Speaker of the Mazhilis noted, over 25 years of diplomatic relations, cooperation between the two countries has received positive development in almost all spheres of activity, especially in political, trade-economic and investment spheres.

Hoang Binh Quan expressed his confidence that now Kazakhstan and Vietnam open a new page in bilateral relations.

The interlocutors drew attention to the great potential of interaction between the two states, while emphasizing the possibilities of the current Agreement between the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union and Vietnam on the Free Trade Zone. Among the priorities are agriculture, tourism, as well as oil and gas.

The Vice-Speaker of the Majilis also stressed the importance of developing inter-parliamentary relations, including through the active interaction of the cooperation groups, the exchange of experience in lawmaking.

The Vice-Speaker of the Mazhilis informed the members of the Vietnamese delegation about the main directions of the constitutional reform in Kazakhstan, highlighting its focus on the formation of a more balanced and steady control system in the country.

From the Kazakh side, Majilis Deputies, members of the Kazakhstan-Vietnam cooperation group Mukhtar Yerman and Irina Unzhakova took part in the meeting.
