"With the aim to modernize the healthcare, reduce costs, improve convenience of time, it’s necessary to switch over to the new information technologies. Unfortunately, today we have a significant portion of health care organizations that have not yet switched to the electronic format. In this regard, we implement a number of investment projects, in particular, this is the creation of a unified integration platform, where every citizen will have an electronic health passport", Ye. Birtanov informed.

According to the Minister, the electronic health passport will be launched in 2018.

"From next year, all records, starting with the birth of a child and further, will be kept in the electronic passport, and every citizen and each health worker will have their personnel accounts. This will allow all state and private clinics to integrate their corporate information systems and work on the principle of one window", Ye. Birtanov said.
