Specialized container of KTZ brought fruit and vegetables from Uzbekistan to Russia

The route passed through the territory of Uzbekistan from the city of Samarkand, then through the Kazakh cities of Almaty and Semey with access to the territory of Russia from the border station Lokot.
A specialized container, which has special temperature conditions for transportation of perishable goods, arrived at the destination within 5 days. Its average speed on the territory of Kazakhstan amounted to about 1000 kilometers per day, and on the Russian territory - 300 km per day. The cargo arrived at the station Kleschikha (Novosibirsk) in good condition.
"The work on the organization of transportation of fruits transportation from Uzbekistan towards Russia and Kazakhstan is conducted from December 2016. A pilot project using one 45-foot autonomous refrigerated container was launched to study the logistics of the route", director of the Department of container traffic “KTZ Express” A. Karimov said.
A. Karimov noted the importance of implementation of the pilot project for effective use of logistics infrastructure of "KTZ" and transit and transport potential of Kazakhstan as a whole.
