Amendments to legal constitutional laws to be considered in Majilis

A meeting of the Bureau of the Majilis chaired by Speaker Nurlan Nigmatulin has been held today. The issues of the forthcoming plenary session of the Chamber have been identified.

The Majilis reported that in the first reading the Chamber will consider the proposed legislative amendments to the Law "On the Supreme Judicial Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan".

The deputies also will consider the draft Constitutional Law "On amendments to some legislative constitutional laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan". In particular, it provides for the improvement of the measures taken on the basis of periodic evaluation of the professional activity of judges. Proposed innovations were developed in order to implement the National Plan.

The draft agenda includes a new bill on which the House will assign the profile committee to prepare a term of imprisonment. This is the act of ratification - the Charter of the Hague Conference on Private International Law.

In addition, at the meeting the Bureau discussed the issue of holding of a visiting session of a special temporary committee on the preparation of the parliamentary hearings in South Kazakhstan region on 16-17 February.
