Kazakhstan, Ukraine develop relations in railway engineering

In the framework of a working visit to Kiev Chairman of "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" Kanat Alpysbayev met with Minister of Infrastructure of the Ukraine Vladimir Omelyan, Chairman of the Board of "Ukrzaliznytsia" Wojciech Balczun with participation of the representatives of the American company "GE Transportation".

"Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" informed that during the talks the sides discussed the issues of cooperation in the sphere of supply of Kazakh products of the railway engineering - locomotives, wagons, track structure materials to the Ukraine.

The sides also discussed the issues of increasing of traffic between two countries, the efficient use of the capacity of the Trans-Caspian international transport route.

Following the meeting, the relevant documents on cooperation between "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" and "Ukrainian Railways" were signed.

GE Transportation is the leading manufacturer of locomotives of a new generation, it is a partner of "KTZ" in the field of railway engineering.
