D.Nazarbaeva: Necessary to teach young people to survive in times of crisis

Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs, Defense and Security of the Senate, the Congress of Youth Council of Kazakhstan Dariga Nazarbayeva has held a meeting on the future activities of the Youth Congress.

D. Nazarbayeva noted the progress in the implementation of youth policy, stressing the need to open new opportunities for representatives of rural and socially vulnerable youth.

The Senator also instructed to raise youth awareness of important social programs and projects implemented by the state. "It is necessary to create conditions for the use of potential of young people, to create a "social elevator" and to teach young people to survive in times of crisis", - said D.Nazarbayeva.

The meeting discussed the work of the organization in 2016 and conceptual proposals for the development of military-patriotic movement, sports school, youth tourism, the press service of the Senate reports.

It is necessary to strengthen media coverage of youth activities in the state media, open the program and thematic headings.

The meeting was attended by the MPS, the youth policy management agencies, representatives of the World Bank project, leaders of non-governmental sector institutions, partners in the field of military-patriotic education and the development of school sport, leaders of youth organizations.

Special attention was given to the World Bank project "Development of youth housing". In this regard, the event invited deputy akims of Almaty, Karaganda, Pavlodar, South Kazakhstan regions, which will host the pilot testing of approaches and mechanisms for implementation in 2017.
