Trade turnover volume of Kazakhstan and Austria amounted to over 2 bln dollars for I half 2013

2nd session of the Kazakh-Austrian Business Council took place in the Republic of Austria, the press office of the Chamber of Commerce of Kazakhstan reports.

More than 30 Austrian companies from the fields of engineering, petrochemical and construction industry, energy, agriculture, finance and investment, tourism, participated in the event.

The Kazakh side was presented by the representatives of national companies in the industry, oil and gas, power and renewable energy, engineering, agriculture, investments.

“During the meeting of the Business Council, the sides discussed prospects cooperation, provided information about the investment climate in both countries and presented their products, services,” a statement reads.

Entrepreneurs from the two countries also held B2B meetings during the Business Council session. Austria is one of the leading trade partners of Kazakhstan.​ The volume of trade turnover for January –June 2013 totals 2,032 billion dollars.
