25 companies from EU to consolidate ties with Karaganda enterprises
25 companies from the EU plan to consolidate ties with Kazakhstan, in particular, with Karaganda enterprises, the Chairman of Walloon Export and Foreign Investment Agency (AWEX), Head of Delegation of European unification "Greater Region" Philippe Suinen told," a statement reads.
The Greater Region is an interregional cooperation which links four European countries: Germany, Belgium, France and Luxembourg. Philippe Suinen told about the priority directions of the companies - biotechnology, medical equipment, transportation and logistics, engineering and green technology.
"We know that Karaganda region is strategic part of the country's economy. Although Kazakhstan has not yet joined the WTO, but we are under the protection of this organization. Openness and innovative orientation are good patronage for your country, " Mr. Suinen added.
Representatives of the economic mission visited Special Economic Zone “Saryarka” and “Arcelormittal Temirtau” company.
In order to develop further cooperation on investment and export promotion a Memorandum of Understanding between "NC "SEC "Saryarka" JSC and Walloon Export and Foreign Investment Agency (AWEX) has been signed.
