Karkaraly National Nature Park opened arboretum

Arboretum was opened in Karaganda region on the eve of the Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan within the framework of events dedicated to the 15th anniversary of Karkaraly national nature park, the press service of the region’s governor office reports.
"The arboretum with 3200 square meters located within Karkaralinsk city and created for scientific, educational and environmental education purposes. Visitors of arboretum area will have the opportunity to get acquainted with more than 100 species of trees and shrubs," a statement reads.
In order to explore the detailed botanical variety of trees and shrubs growing in Kazakhstan, on the basis of this area it is planned to conduct comprehensive tours, scientific and practical sessions with students of Karkaraly agricultural college and children of region’s schools.
