A.Issekeshev: Kazakhstan launched proactive policy to attract investment

Kazakhstan has launched a proactive policy to attract investment. The foreign investments (FDI) in the oil refining increased by 80%, production of food - by 30%, engineering - 7 times, Minister for Investment and Development of Kazakhstan Asset Issekeshev said at the Astana Economic Forum .

"In general, over the last 25 years, 70% were attracted over last 5 years and amounted to $ 20 billion. We see development of Kazakhstan –  in development of private investments ", - said A. Isekeshev.

The Ministry works in several directions - improving the investment and business climate, providing better conditions for investment protection, a fair judicial system, providing the economy highly qualified human resources.

Today, the MID has about 200 investment projects worth more than $ 40 billion.

"Every investor is important to us. We attract TNCs, SMEs, financial and institutional investors in "greenfield" projects, "brownfield", PPP. I think that our strategy provides a good opportunity for all investors ", - concluded A. Isekeshev.
