Nurultan Nazarabyev visited historical-cultural facilities of Taraz city

Today, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarabayev has visited a number of historical cultural facilities of Taraz city during his working trip to Zhambyl region.
Nursultan Nazarbayev got familiarized with archeological diggings of Taraz site of ancient town I-XIX centuries.
The diggings were focused at citadel and sacristan. The total area is equal to 2550 square meters.
A lot of artefacts has been found during the diggings. At this moment, the amount of processed fragments of pottery is above 33 million copies, of which 107 have survived intact. Also found 33 coins, 26 of glass products, as well as five artifacts from the bones were found.
100 million tenge was allocated to the digging. In addition, the President familiarized with the Tole bi monument that has been erected on occasion of his 350th anniversary.
Besides, Nursultan Nazarbayev held meeting with the people of the city.
