Altyntau Kokshetau JSC enters the top 20 world largest gold producing companies
According to him , the field is located in the Akmola region, which has more than 30 gold deposits. Total gold reserves in the area is about 522 tons, 312.1 tons of which ( as of January 1 of the current year ), or about 60% of the deposits of the area focused on Vasylkovskoye, the remaining approximately 210 tons ( 40%) are registered in the remaining 29 fields.
Vasilkovskoe field is unique in terms of gold reserves and geology. In 1991, the mill was first among the CIS gold mining companies, which introduced the technology of heap leaching. The first bars of gold cathode have been produced in July, 1991. The recycling of oxidized , semi-oxidized and sulphide ores by heap leaching have been lasted until 2008.
The project of construction of infrastructure Vasilkvskoye field is one of the world's largest steel enterprises in Kazakhstan. The gold processing plant " Altyntau Kokshetau" , launched into operation in 2010 , is the largest in the CIS with its production capacity. The factory is capable of processing up to 8 million tons of ore and produce 550-650 thousand ounces of gold per year.
