"Dear citizens of Kazakhstan, I would like to congratulate you on the Day of Gratitude! I proposed to establish this holiday on the 20th anniversary of the APK and received public support. This idea was born during the session, when people of different ethnic groups started to express gratitude to each other, to the Kazakh people", - N. Nazarbayev said.

As Elbasy noted, the Decree was signed in January this year. Now this day is an official holiday like the Labor Day, the Family Day.

"I am convinced that this festival will further strengthen the trust, consent, and friendship in our society. The gratitude as one of the highest moral values is associated with many pages of our history. Our ancestors were thankful to native land. They always thank friends, relatives, neighbors for the help in difficult times", - the Head of State said.

Recall, the President proposed to celebrate Gratitude Day at the 22th Session of the Assembly of Peoples of Kazakhstan.
