Pier for Naval Forces of Kazakhstan to be built in 2016 (PHOTO)

A pier – a technical structure for mooring of ships, transport of food and fuel and lubricants, permanent stationing of ships will be built for the Navy of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan for the first time in the history of sovereign Kazakhstan.
One of the significant events in the history of the formation of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan is start of construction of the offshore pier for parking vehicles, which will be built on the territory of Aktau international sea trade port.
Currently Kazakhstan’s ships of the Naval Forces are stationed at a distance of 140 kilometers from the Naval Base on a chartered pier in Bautino village.
Construction of the pier is carried out by "Askeri-Kurylys" JSC on area of 1.2 hectares in the port of Aktau.
It is expected that the construction of the naval pier will be completed by the end of 2016.
