Astana hosted Int’l forum on counter-violent extremism (PHOTO)

The General Prosecutor’s Office has hosted an international forum ‘Interaction in Central Asia to counter violent extremism’.

The forum was attended by representatives of the competent authorities of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, deputies of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and experts.

"One of the main goals is to establish interaction and dialogue of the law enforcement agencies and civil society in combating violent extremism", the statement reads.

In the end, noting the importance of the cooperation, the participants adopted a joint final protocol for law enforcement and other competent authorities to identify and combat all forms of extremism and terrorism.
