International Conference on occasion of Alma- Ata Declaration 35th anniversary to be held in Almaty
“Participants of the conference will share experiences with other countries, identify further recommendations to improve the effectiveness of health systems through the provision of new - innovative forms of primary health care, strengthening the role of the nursing building, involvement of other sectors that affect the health of the population, the introduction of information technology and computing services PHC,” a statement reads.
The conference will discuss and adapt the experience of the best countries in the world in the field : training primary care and general practice development, availability and quality of primary health care and prevention programs , the development of transport medicine , medical care for the rural population , the introduction of chronic disease management programs , improving the financing of PHC and overall health , improve the drug supply , the formation mechanisms of joint and several liability for the health and intersectoral collaboration.
For the first time 35 years ago, 157 countries adopted the Almaty Declaration , prioritizing the development of primary health care and putting it at the center of the world's health systems. For the first time been given the very definition of primary care, as well as the main principles and elements of its development.
