British participation in EXPO 2017 discussed in London

First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs - Commissioner of EXPO 2017 Rapil Zhoshybayev visited London, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan reported.

About 70 representatives of British companies were presented EXPO-2017, they were interested in participating in the exhibition and using of objects after the exhibition.

During the event, R. Zhoshybayev spoke about the large-scale preparations for the forthcoming exhibition, conditions of participation, as well as customs, tax and other benefits to the participants of EXPO-2017.

EXPO 2017 is of great interest of the international business community, it is expected about 5 million visits from over 100 countries.

During a meeting with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Great Britain T. Elwood the sides discussed topical issues of bilateral strategic partnership, including the simplification of visa regime. The British side said that the holding of EXPO in Astana will promote the inflow of technology, strengthening of the scientific base and improve the image of Kazakhstan in the international arena.

Commissioner of EXPO 2017 R. Zhoshybayev also met with Kazakh students studying in British universities, and encouraged them to take an active part in the promotion of Astana’s exhibition abroad.
