"The industrialization is important issue for Kazakhstan and for all foreign partners and investors. The EU is impressed by Kazakhstan’s diversification of economy. Diversification of the economy makes sense for all strategic plans, it is permanent. The President of Kazakhstan carries out it all the time: starting with the "”Strategy-2030”, and to the "Strategy 2050", through various road maps, which are implemented. It is important to note that the dependence on extractive industries may limit the potential for the community, to reduce the level of education," - A.Bushe said.

As the EU representative told, the inability to diversify the economy can lead to social and political tensions.

"Regional development cannot be separated from economic diversification. Even in Kazakhstan, not all regions are equal to the same resources. It is particularly important to develop regions more evenly. Diversification in this sense is very important. When the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan started to attract foreign direct investment, the European countries have begun to show more interest," - A.Bushe added.
