The reduce of the roaming prices will increase revenue of mobile operators by 79 billion tenge, including Kazakhstan operators - 24 billion tenge, member of the College of competition and anti-monopoly regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission Nurlan Aldabergenov reported at a meeting on antitrust regulation on cross-border markets EEU in Astana.

"The most frequently we discussed cellular market. Now, a working group with the operators holds talks about the gradual reduction of roaming prices for increasing of their income by 79 billion tenge. It will happen due to the growth of traffic from tariff reduction,"- N.Aldabergenov said.

According to the Minister of EEC, there are about 20 million people living in transboundary areas of Kazakhstan and Russia, including more than 5 million in Kazakhstan. Due to the reduction of roaming tariffs Kazakhstani subscribers will save up to 2.2 billion tenge.

"Our citizens often travel to Russia. Kazakhstan pays 7 tenge per 1 minute, but after crossing the Russian border, he has to pay 20 times more expensive - 150 tenge. According to the results of scientific research work, the consumers of the three countries can save up to 5.5 billion tenge, including Kazakhstani subscribers - up to 2.2 billion tenge, "- he concluded.
