Memorandum on regulation of drug prices signed in Kazakhstan

The Ministry of Health and Social Development of Kazakhstan and pharmaceutical associations have signed a Memorandum to contain the prices of medicines and medical products.

"Today, Minister of Health and Social Development of Kazakhstan Tamara Duysenova and the leaders of professional pharmaceutical associations of Kazakhstan have signed a Memorandum to curb prices for 200 kinds of medicines and medical products", the message reads.

The document has been signed by Chairwoman of the Association for Support and Development of pharmaceutical activity of Kazakhstan Zuriyat Sybankulova, Chairman of the association "FarmMedIndusty of Kazakhstan" Serik Sultanov, Chairman of the Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers in Kazakhstan Vyacheslav Lokshin and CEO of the Association of distributors of pharmaceutical products of Kazakhstan Nataliya Gunko.

The purpose of Memorandum is to support the socially vulnerable segments of the population.
