President visited Taraz Chemical and Technology College

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has visited Taraz Chemical and Technology College, the press service of Akorda informed.

During the visit the President of Kazakhstan has been informed about the implementation of regional development program of education.

The President also has talked with the teaching stuff and students of the college. Nursultan Nazarbayev has noted the importance of creating of an alternative economy in the country following the example of the leading countries of Europe and Asia, developing by technology, and manufacturing sectors.

"For the first five years of the program of industrialization about 770 enterprises was built, this year 75 objects have been commissioned. Special attention will be paid to the development of innovative technologies. A strong technical cluster is developed on the basis of this college. The country needs chemical engineers, skilled workers who will be able to work on mining and processing enterprises. Having got the right specialty, the graduates will be able to work across Kazakhstan", Nursultan Nazarbayev said.

The college provides training in 12 specialties. There is also underway retraining of personnel for the opening production in the chemical industry. Educational institution, designed for 600 people, is equipped with modern material and technical base. The infrastructure of the college includes educational workshops, laboratory cabinets, computer classes, multimedia and language laboratories, a library with a computer room, a dormitory for 200 seats.
