260 service plazas to be built till 2020 in Kazakhstan

Today January 27 the Ministry of Investments and Development of Kazakhstan has held a teleconference meeting.
260 service plazas to be built till 2020 in Kazakhstan | Strategy2050.kz

Speaking during the meeting, chairman of Board of KazAvtoZhol JSC Berik Kamaliyev  has announced  260 service plazas are expected to be constructed in Kazakhstan till 2020 year.  The facilities will be implemented in frames of transport system infrastructure development State Program and allow to employ more than two thousand people.

Mr. Kamaliyev noted the total demand is above 400 service plazas. Currently 44 such facilities operate in the country.

According to the Ministry, 50 analogue plazas operate at Western Europe- Western China transit corridor. After completion of the road’s construction it is planned to build the same number of facilities. In this regard, the governor’s office have to reserve lands and activate attraction of investments .

It should be noted, KazDorNII has developed a national standard which will be launched  on July 1,2015.

Besides, eight service plazas are expected to be built in Arshaly, Oshagandy, Shiderty, Lebyazhye, Ulanskoye, Beineu, Torgay amnd Kyzdynshubary.

In addition, given EXPO 2017, alternative energy resources and “green” technologies will be used under the construction of these facilities.
