North Kazakhstan: 27 bln tenge arrived to regional budget in 2014

In 2014, 2.7 billion tenge was arrived to the budget of North Kazakhstan region in 2014, head of the Finance Department of NKR Esken Akimzhanov said at the meeting in the Governor's office on the outcomes of execution of the budget, social and economic development of the region in 2014.

Governor of the region Erik Sultanov instructed to take special control over the performance of planned tax revenues to the local budget of districts and Petropavlovsk city.

"As you know, this year is difficult for us. We need to exceed the planks of last year on receipt of taxes in the budget. It is necessary to strengthen the tax administration. It is also necessary to work on wage increases, especially in rural areas. It will entail the increase in the individual income tax. Do not put off these issues, start working since January", Erik Sultanov said referring to the mayors of the districts and Petropavlovsk city.

According to the Governor’s office, the results of social and economic development of the region were voiced by Aigul Khassenova, the Acting Head of Department of Economy and Budget Planning of NKR.

So, according to her, during the first 9 months of 2014, the gross regional product in the region increased by 2.9% and amounted to 542.5 billion tenge.

"In the calculation the goods and services worth 944.6 thousand tenge were produced per capita, which is 5.6% more than last year", she said.

However, last year the volume of investments in fixed assets amounted to 115.073 billion tenge, which is 8.7% more than in 2013.

"Nowadays the priority sectors for investment in MSE are agriculture, forestry and fisheries, which sent 43.4% of all investments, as well as industry 21.6%", the Governor's office reported.

The Governor of the region noted that this year it’s necessary to intensify the efforts on attracting the investment.

"First of all, it concerns the issue of acquisition of agricultural machinery, as the largest investment we have in agriculture. The leasing mechanism through "KazAgroFinance" gives the opportunity to buy equipment without surcharges and preliminary assessments. I want to remind you that this year in Petropavlovsk we launch the production of combine harvesters together with the Finnish company “Sampo Rozenlew Ltd”. And we have already had the order for 50 harvester-sets", E. Sultanov said.

In addition, the governor of the region noted the necessity on attracting the long-term investment in MSE. In this regard, the governor charged to develop a plan on attracting investment in fixed assets on the basis of the projects of second five year plan of the Industrialization Map in each of the districts.
